New Delhi, 10 April (IANS). Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will address the Global Technology Summit (GTS). This is India’s major dialogue on geo-technology, in which it will be ascertained how emerging technology can be important in promoting inclusive growth, strengthening digital regime and deepening the border partnership.
The 9th edition of GTS is being held in the national capital on 10-12 April and the theme of this year is ‘probably’.
The GTS – 2025, co -accepted by the Ministry of External Affairs and leading think tank Carnegie India, will have more than 40 public sessions, including main speech, ministerial dialogue, specialist panels and strategic dialogue.
The ministry said in a statement, “The inaugural session of the summit will begin with the address of India’s Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.”
The summit aims to shape global technology policy conversations, focusing on innovation, flexibility and international cooperation.
During three days, more than 150 speakers from more than 40 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Brazil, UAE, Nigeria, Philippines and European Union, more than 150 speakers will be included in the discussion on the world’s most pressured technical challenges and opportunities on Thursday.
Sessions will discuss important topics ranging from AI governance, digital public infrastructure and data security to cyber security and emerging technical cooperation in Global South.
This year, GTS will also take forward the voice of 2025 next generation.
According to the Ministry, through GTS Young Ambassador Program, students across the country will directly contribute to policy dialogue on professional, digital future, response AI and global technical norms.
After creating the World Class Digital Public Infrastructure, Digital India has laid the foundation of knowledge -based economy and digital strong society on the goal of becoming ‘developed India’ by 2047.
In the last 10 years, the government has inspired citizens to work digitally by bringing a digital revolution, which has affected 1.4 billion people.
