New Delhi, 8 July (IANS). Gold and silver prices saw a rise on Tuesday. The price of 24 carat gold has increased to close to Rs 97,000 per 10 grams again and the price of silver also recorded a jump of more than Rs 900.
According to the price released by the India Bullion Jewelers Association (IBJA) in the evening, the price of 24 carat gold has increased to Rs 96,972 per 10 grams, which is released on Monday evening, Rs 96,596 per 10 grams to Rs 376 more.
The price of 10 grams of gold of 22 carats has increased to Rs 88,871, which was earlier Rs 88,482 per 10 grams. At the same time, the price of 10 grams of 18 carats has increased to Rs 72,766, which was earlier Rs 72,447 per 10 grams.
Gold and silver prices are updated twice a day on the official website of IBJA.
There has also been an increase in the price of silver with gold. The price of silver has increased by Rs 969 to Rs 1,07,500 per kg, which was Rs 1,06,531 per kg in the evening earlier business day.
The prices of both gold and silver were seen to fall on the multi -commodity exchange (MCX). The contract of gold on August 5, 2025 was reduced by 0.33 percent to Rs 96,951 and the contract of silver on 5 September 2025 was reduced by 0.31 percent to Rs 1,07,986.
In the international market, there is a fall in the price of gold and weakness in silver prices. By the time the news was written, the price of gold was 0.22 percent lower after $ 3,335.40 an ounce and silver was 0.10 percent to $ 36.865 an ounce.
Since January 1, the price of 10 grams 24 carat gold has increased from Rs 76,162 to Rs 20,810 or 27.32 percent to Rs 96,972. At the same time, silver price has also increased from Rs 86,017 per kg to Rs 21,483 or 24.97 percent to Rs 1,07,500 per kg.
