The new dearness allowance will be applicable from January 1, 2025. According to ANI news, the Assam cabinet approved it. Giving information, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that we will add 2% more DA with salary before Bihu and arrears will be given in the months of April and May. Millions of employees and pensioners of the state are going to benefit from this.
Dearness allowance will be 55%
Earlier in October 2024, the state government had increased the dearness allowance of government employees and pensioners by 3%. After the increase in on Friday, the dearness allowance of state government employees and pensioners will increase from 53% to 55%. The increase in dearness allowance has increased by the Union Cabinet on March 28 after an increase of 2% in dearness allowance for central government employees and pensioners. The DA of central government employees and pensioners has also increased from the current 53% to 55%.
Keep in mind that the increase in your salary due to increasing dearness allowance will depend on your basic salary. The higher the basic salary, the ratio will increase in your salary.
