Those who buy a car on a low budget will save money.
The country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki on Monday announced a price cut on select variants of its low-budget cars Alto K10 and S-Preso. The price of S-Preso LXI petrol has been reduced by Rs 2,000 and the price of Alto K10 VXI petrol has been reduced by Rs 6,500. According to the news of Moneycontrol, the company has given this information through exchange filing. The new price has come into effect from September 2, 2024. Alto once dominated the market as India’s best-selling car.
Alto K10 VXI Petrol
Maruti Suzuki’s Alto K10 petrol car is equipped with a 998 cc, K10C type engine, which generates a maximum power of 49 kW @ 5500 rpm and a maximum torque of 89 Nm @ 3500 rpm. The car has a boot space of 214 liters. The length of the 5 seater Alto K10 is 3530 mm, while the width is 1490 mm and the height is 1520 unladen mm. The wheelbase of the car is 2380 mm. The car also has many other features including many safety.
S-Presso
The S-Preso, which is offered as a mini SUV, is also powered by a 998 cc, K10C type engine that generates a maximum power of 49 kW (66.621 PS) @ 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 89 Nm @ 3500 rpm. Its length is 3565 mm, width 1520 mm and height 1567 mm.
Know the price
The Alto K10 is priced between Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 5.96 lakh, while the S-Presso is priced between Rs 4.26 lakh and Rs 6.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Company sales in August
Maruti Suzuki India had informed on Sunday that the company’s total sales in August fell by 4 percent to 1,81,782 units as compared to the same period last year. Whereas, in the same month last year, the company had sold 1,89,082 units of vehicles. Last month, wholesale sales of total domestic passenger vehicles stood at 1,43,075 units, which is 8 percent less than 1,56,114 units in the same month last year. Sales of mini cars including Alto and S-Preso fell to 10,648 units from 12,209 units a year ago.
