To settle the cases related to Income Tax Department Direct Tax, the government is bringing Vivaad se Vishwas Yojana 2.0, the notification of which has been issued by the Finance Ministry. Applications for this can be made from October 1. Also, as per the prescribed conditions, the taxpayers availing the benefits of the scheme will have to give complete details of themselves and the dispute.
According to the official associated with the case, such cases will be dealt with on priority, which are pending at various levels in the department. To avail the benefits of the scheme, the concerned person will have to fill a form, in which details of PAN card, TAN number, Aadhaar number, mobile number, name, email and the specified year of the case will have to be given. Along with this, an affidavit will also have to be given that he agrees with the case being settled under the scheme. It will be mandatory to give your full details in the affidavit as well.

Separate teams have also been formed for disposal of applications
The Income Tax Department has also formed separate teams to dispose of the applications under the scheme. Especially the scheme will be reviewed at the regional office level. Separate officers are being deployed who will look into the matters related to the scheme.
At present, cases related to direct tax demand of more than Rs 35 lakh crore are pending at different levels. It is being told that a large number of taxpayers want that these issues be resolved by finding a middle path.
Group of Ministers meeting on GST on 25th
The meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoM) on rationalization of Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates will be held in Goa on September 25. Changes in tax slabs and rates may be discussed in the meeting. An official gave this information on Sunday. The six-member Group of Ministers (GoM) headed by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary had last met on August 22. It submitted a status report to the GST Council on September 9. The GoM had entrusted the Fitment Committee, comprising tax officials of the Center and the states, with the task of analyzing the impact of tax rate changes on some goods and collecting more data.
