New Delhi, 28 June (IANS). Joint Director General Moin Afaq at the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said on Saturday that the government is laying the foundation of the Next Generation Export Ecosystem, which is digital-first, logistics-ingred and MSME-Inquiliary.
In the ‘MSME Day Conclave 2025’ of India SME Forum, he said that upcoming e-commerce exports are inspired by global best practices and will act as a single-window zone for logistics, certification and regulatory assistance.
He told the attendees, “Five pilot hubs have already been approved and many are about to be built, our goal is to implement this model all over the country.”
The program emphasized digital change, better preparation of export and immediate need for strong trade facilities.
Vinod Kumar, president of India SME Forum, said, “Global supply chains are changing and India is emerging as a reliable alternative. This has opened a big opportunity for MSME to go globally.”
He added, “Buyers are choosing Indian products even at 5-7 percent higher price, as we provide trust and reliability on them. With the accession of more than 45 countries, e-commerce exports are becoming a powerful growth engine rapidly. It is India’s time and MSMEs are playing a leading role in this direction.”
The main attraction of the conference was the National MSME Impact Award 2025, which recognized the exceptional work done by state governments, financial institutions and solutions and service providers.
The winners included the Bank of Baroda for the public sector bank and HDFC Bank for the private sector bank. Amazon won the gold medal in the Best Export Platform and Best E-Marketplace category, while Microsoft led Technology Provider category and Google led the digital solution category.
According to India SME Forum, DHL topped the Logistics Solutions category and New India Assurance won the Best Insurance Provider.
