Mumbai, May 7 (IANS). Greenline Mobility Solutions Limited on Wednesday flagged off a new fleet of LNG-guard trucks in Chakan, Pune. This deployment has the support of Sriram Finance Limited, a company of Shri Ram Group, one of the largest NBFCs in India.

Greenline is the only green logistics operator of Mobility Solutions Limited, Essar Venture and India LNG and Electric-Purd Heavy Commercial Truck.

Greenline continues to lead India’s low carbon logistics changes. The current fleet of more than 650 LNG trucks serves FMCG & E-Commerce, Metal and Mining, Cement, Oil & Gas and Major companies of sector.

This fleet has already covered a distance of more than 40 million kilometers, decreasing in carbon dioxide emissions by more than 10,000 tonnes.

The company plans to deploy more than 10,000 LNG and EV trucks, which will help from nationwide networks of 100 LNG fuel stations, EV charging stations and battery swapping facilities. The goal of this broad initiative is to reduce carbon emissions by up to 1 million tonnes annually.

This partnership is an important step in the ongoing mission of Greenline to make India’s transport sector carbon -free, which contributes about 15 percent to the total carbon emissions of the country.

Currently more than 4 million trucks are in operation and this number is continuously increasing. Along with this, India’s road logistics sector remains one of its highest carbon-capital industry.

The government is committed to convert the fleet of heavy-duty vehicle (HWV) to LNG and EV trucks to promote clean and sustainable transport with the government’s ambitious target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

With the support of Shriram Finance, the deployment of these vehicles is faster and more efficient, making green logistics more financially accessible for businesses across the country.
