Mumbai, 19 April (IANS). The country’s largest private lender HDFC Bank on Saturday made a net profit of Rs 17,616 crore on a single basis in the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25. It has increased by 6.7 percent against the same quarter of FY 2023-24.
The bank announced financial results on Saturday. He said that the operational benefits have fallen by 9.4 percent and it was Rs 26,537 crore, compared to Rs 29,274 crore in the same period last year.
The bank’s gross non-performing assets (NPA) ratio declined to 1.33 percent on 31 March 2025 as compared to 1.42 percent in 31 December 2024. The bank’s net NPA ratio increased from 0.33 percent a year ago to 0.43 percent on 31 March 2025.
The bank’s gross NPA stood at Rs 35,222.64 crore on 31 March 2025, while on 31 December 2024 it was Rs 36,018.58 crore and 31,173.32 crore on 31 March 2024.
HDFC Bank’s net interest income (NII) increased to Rs 32,066 crore, which shows an increase of 10.3 percent on an annual basis.
HDFC Bank board has declared a dividend of Rs 22 per share for FY 2024-25. The record date for dividend is June 27.
The average deposits of the bank for the January-March 2025 quarter were Rs 25,280 billion, which is 15.8 percent more than Rs 21,836 billion in the January-March 2024 quarter.
Meanwhile, the average CASA deposits of the bank rose by 5.7 percent to Rs 8,289 billion from Rs 7,844 billion.
The bank said that on 31 March 2025, it had 9,455 branches and 21,139 ATMs in 4,150 cities/towns. At the same time, a year ago, on 31 March 2024, he had 8,738 branches and 20,938 ATMs in 4,065 cities/towns.
Prior to financial results, HDFC Bank shares rose 1.48 percent to close at Rs 1,905.8 on Thursday.
