New Delhi, 30 June (IANS). Under the leadership of Rekha Gupta, historical steps were taken by the Delhi government to facilitate trade. Under this, hotels, restaurants, guest houses and discothex are now exempted from Delhi Police to take NOC. This decision of the Delhi government was warmly welcomed by people associated with the hotel industry.
Following this historic decision of the Delhi government, the Guest House Owners Association and Paharganj Hotel Association jointly organized an honor ceremony. The program was concluded at Hotel Novotel, Paharganj in New Delhi, in which hoteliers expressed gratitude to the Delhi government and the police administration.
Many prestigious hoteliers, representatives of local trade associations and officials associated with administration were also present at the ceremony. Speaking at the program, the organizers said that this decision is a big relief, especially for areas where tourism and hospitality are the mainstay of livelihood. Areas like Paharganj, where hundreds of small guest houses and hotels have been operating for years, will now be able to carry forward their business with new enthusiasm.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, “To realize the mantra of Ease of Doing Business given by PM Modi, the Delhi government is constantly taking such decisions that will give relief to the general public and they are easy to work. It is noteworthy that the decision to eliminate the imperative of taking NOC from Delhi Police to hotels, restaurants, guest houses and discotheques is considered to be an important step towards giving more favorable environment for business.
