PAN Card: If you want to make a PAN card of children under 18 years of age, do you know its process? If not, we are telling you. Parents or parents can apply for PAN card by becoming their children’s guardian. Let us tell you that this rule also applies when the minor is a non -resident Indian (NRI). Let us tell you the full process of making PAN card for children under 18 years of age.

How to apply for PAN card?

Tax expert says that parents, parents or representative taxpayers have to apply for children’s PAN card. The process of applying for a PAN card can be hybrid, which has to be physically presented with all the necessary signed documents and a photo of the minor in both online and offline.

In the case of online mode, it is filled online on the official website of NSDL and documents can be uploaded online or sent to the PAN center office through offline. Whereas in the case of offline process, the form is downloaded and filled manually and attached all the necessary documents and the photo of the minor and the required fee submitted with the application form.

Here is the step-by-step process

Step -1: First of all visit NSDL’s website. Step -2: Click on ‘New Application’, then select ‘New Pan Indian Citizen (Form 49A)’ in PAN type and select the ‘Individual’ category. Step -3: Now fill the individual details of the minor and the parents’ information (eg addresses, contact number). Upload the parents’ signature and click on the ‘Submit’ button. Step-4: After this a new webpage will open, which will have to fill more information. Here, give information about representative assessese (guardian), which will sign the form. Also, upload the photo of the minor and the required documents.

Pay the required fee and then click on the ‘Submit’ button. After the payment is successful, you will be released an Acknowledgment Number, which you can use to know the status of the application in the future. If you have opted for physical documents verification, send a full set to the address given by the service provider (NSDL Protean or Utiitsl) within 15 days of the online application. After this, the child’s PAN card will be made.
