New Delhi, 3 June (IANS). The India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA) on Tuesday announced a unique industry-wide initiative for India’s manufacturing sector, cooperatively promoting technology and AI innovation.
The program will connect companies with transformation in domains like Advanced Manufacturing, AI, Internet of Things, Energy Efficiency, Material Science.
The ICEA launched a technology innovation access program ‘Venture Access Labs’ in collaboration with Venture Capital Fund Carat Capital.
The objective of this initiative is to strengthen India’s electronics and equipment manufacturing companies by enabling cutting edge technology and innovation from around the world.
ICEA President Pankaj Mohindru said, “Through Venture Access Labs, India’s position in manufacturing and electronics with the vision of making ICEA an Indian champions is proud to promote global innovation by strengthening India’s position as a global hub.”
He said, “Our goal is to increase India’s electronics manufacturing capabilities and global competitiveness by opening doors for the International Technological Advancement and constructing an innovation pipeline, so that a large share in the global market can be achieved.”
The program will include several tasks including Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Legal and ESG.
Through this program, companies will benefit from identification of innovation trends, high impact startups and ipS curated access, strategic matchmaking and pilot opportunities, adapted adoption for new technology and convenient investment in strategically relevant, touched high-capacities.
Salil Kapoor, co-founder of Venture Access Labs, said, “It is time for Indian electronics and tool manufacturing to shift to Tech-Fund Global Leadership.”
He said, “This innovation will be a catalist and partner, who will scan and cure the latest technology and game-changing startups from all over the world for Indian manufacturing companies, so that they can connect with them at a low cost.
