The Animal and Fisheries Resources Department of Bihar Government is giving a grant of Rs 3 to 40 lakh under the Integrated Poultry Development Scheme for opening layer poultry farm and broiler poultry farm.

‘Integrated Poultry Development Scheme 2024’ is an entrepreneurship scheme launched by the Government of Bihar, which aims to make the rural areas of the region self-reliant along with providing employment opportunities. Under the Integrated Poultry Development Scheme, a subsidy of 30 to 50% is given by the government. Opening a poultry farm produces good eggs and meat, which they can sell and earn money. Along with this, the applicant can also get a loan at a low interest rate from the bank on opening a poultry farm.
Selection on first come first serve basis
Beneficiaries will be selected on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, with priority given to self-incurred expenses and training. In terms of training, only certificates related to training in poultry farming from recognized government institutions will be valid.
Documents required for online application
It will be mandatory to attach updated rent receipt/LPC, lease agreement, sight map, passbook, FD, poultry training certificate from government institutions, caste certificate and other documents like photo, Aadhaar, voter ID card, PAN card and residence certificate along with the online application.
Poultry Farming Subsidy
Under the Integrated Poultry Development Scheme, advertisements have been issued for broiler poultry farms with a capacity of 3000 and layer poultry farms with a capacity of 10000 (including feed mill)/5000 against the vacancies in the previously advertised layer farm scheme under the subsidy scheme to promote broiler/layer poultry farming. In this, up to 50 percent subsidy is being given to the beneficiaries of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and up to 30 percent subsidy is being given to the beneficiaries of general caste.
Mode of Online Application
The Animal and Fisheries Department of the Bihar Government will provide subsidy for layer poultry farming under the Integrated Poultry Development Scheme. To avail the benefits of this scheme, one can apply online. After the advertisement is published, one can apply online within 21 days of opening the online link. Interested persons have been invited to apply online on the Animal Husbandry Department website https://state.bihar.gov.in/ahd/. Specific information about the Integrated Poultry Development Scheme can be obtained from the office of the concerned District Animal Husbandry Officer.
