New Delhi, 11 February (IANS). Artificial Intelligence (AI) is re -defining industries and global technology landscape. Also, India is emerging as a prominent player in this revolution. This statement was made by Global Technology Leaders at the ongoing AI Action Summit in Paris.
The third edition of the AI Action Summit is the latest in the series of global dialogues regarding AI governance and has been co-headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Top officials of the world’s big tech companies are aware of India’s growing potential in the AI sector.
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, said, “India is a big market of AI. Also is the second largest market for our company. The number of users here has increased three times in the last one year.”
He added, “People of India are making stacks, chips, models and many extraordinary applications. India should emerge as a leader in the AI revolution.”
Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that AI has the ability to lead the front in India.
Global Tech Leaders said that India is ready to move fast in AI innovation, development and implementation due to the rapid adoption of good talent pool and AI technology.
Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella said, “India can change its industries in the field of indic languages and using AI.”
Also said, “There are mathematics talent, educational institutions and research institutes to do big work in the field of AI in the country.”
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang urged India to “build his own AI”. Huang said that the next generation in the country “will be a back-office for AI delivery.”
According to IBM CEO Arvind Krishna, “Massive population and data wealth in India will help create a unique advantage in the AI landscape.”
According to Bosch Tech Compass Survey 2025, more than 50 percent of Indians have actively received self-education in AI-related skills.
According to the Emeritus Global Workplace Skills Study 2025, India’s AI adoption rate is the highest globally, giving priority to AI skills for the success of professional career.
About 94 percent of Indian professionals believe that the mastery of AI skills will accelerate their career development.
AMD CEO Lisa Su said that India is very important for AMD and every aspect of our product line passes through our design center in India here.
Su further said that India is considered an essential development center. The largest research and development (R&D) facility of AMD after the US is in Bengaluru.
