New Delhi, 25 June (IANS). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal stressed that India is on the way to become a 5 trillion dollar economy and it is expected that the target will be achieved in the next three years.
He said that by 2027 we are expected to become the third largest economy in the world. He further said that all stakeholders- government, trade community, industry, trade and 140 crore Indians are deeply connected to the Prime Minister’s ‘Developed India 2047’.
In a webinar organized by the Merchants Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), the Union Minister said that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has focused not only on incremental progress, but has focused on quantitative change and has focused not only on development but also on increasingly, sustainable andonest growth.
The theme of this webinar was’ India faced global challenges’ move towards the $ 5 trillion dollar economy ‘.
Regarding India’s economic strength, Union Minister Goyal said that the country has become one of the top five economies in the world by coming out of the five weak economies.
He said, “We have a strong macroeconomic base. Our banking system is strong and strong, which has a high lending capacity. Our inflation is one of the lowest inflation seen in India so far, which has come down to 3 percent again.”
The government has focused on achieving development according to Indian development and believes in service, good governance and innovation.
The Union Minister further said that the government has focused on achieving balanced development for the Indian story, which believes in ‘service, good governance and innovation’.
He highlighted that MCCI will play a very important role during the Amrit period in achieving this goal. Such dialogues help the government understand what needs to be done to support industries despite global instability, disturbance and uncertainty.
Union Minister Goyal insisted, “History reminds us that great economies are not made in calm water. Great economies are made in turbulent sea.”
He said that it is time for India to take advantage of this opportunity and this opportunity should not be lost. He praised MCCI’s 124 -year visit and described it as a bridge between the government, stakeholders and industries.
