New Delhi, March 14 (IANS). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that India is on the way to export more than $ 800 billion this year with a large stake of services.

Amid the changing global atmosphere, the Union Minister assured that the government is constantly working for this and will leave no stone unturned to ensure a good future of Indian exporters (goods and service) and protect the interests of the country.

During his address to the Export Promotion Council (EPC) and the Industry Association, the minister also appreciated the positivity between the exporting community and the crisis that the world is facing the world today, he also appreciated their hopeless to turn into an opportunity.

Removing the concerns of the industry regarding the US, the Union Minister asked the EPC to consider his strength and share its demands with the government for better connection with the US.

On the ongoing efforts on bilateral agreements, Goyal said that the government is working on several tracks simultaneously and the purpose of each of them is to ensure the best interest of Indian exporters.

The Union Minister indicated that the government had reached the final stages of free trade agreements (FTAs) with especially some. Goyal was also convinced that it would create better opportunities for Indian exporters and more investment will also come.

Talking on a mutual tariff, Goyal said that the EPC would have to come out of its protectionist mindset and encourage them to be courageous and to be ready to deal with the world with their strength and confidence.
