Bratislawa, 10 April (IANS). President Draupadi Murmu on Thursday described India as one of the fastest growing economies in the world and urged Slovakia’s business leaders to take advantage of opportunities.
Addressing the Slovakia-India trade platform in Bratislawa, President Murmu said, “Slovakia is looking for hardworking skilled workers and professionals abroad to meet its workforce requirements. I am confident that Indian talent may be a valuable partner in Slovakia’s economic progress.”
President Murmu said, “India is committed to enhancing business relations with Slovakia. It is clear from the large business delegation representing the various fields that came with me that Indian traders are interested in finding opportunities in Slovakia. We have seen the same interest from Slovakia.”
Addressing the forum, President Murmu thanked Slovakia President Peter Palegini for his commitment in strengthening economic relations between the two countries.
President Murmu said that India is going through remarkable changes and has emerged as a global leader in technology, innovation and sustainable development.
President Murmu said that Slovakia-India trade platform is an excellent platform to find coordination and mutually beneficial partnerships.
Earlier, President Murmu visited the painting exhibition created by Slovak children.
The Slovak -Indian Friendship Society, in collaboration with the Indian Embassy, has been organizing the beauty hidden in fairy tales since 2015 – Slovak children have been organizing a painting competition from the eyes of children.
This is an Indian President’s first visit to Slovakia in about three decades.
President Daupadi Murmu’s two -day visit to Slovakia indicates how much India gives importance to its bilateral relations with the Republic of Slovak. This is expected to start intensive cooperation and new initiatives in various fields including defense, science, technology, education.
