Electronic production
Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Friday that India’s electronic production has increased five times in the last ten years. He was speaking at the inauguration of the SMT line of VVDN Technologies in Manesar. He said that due to the policies and incentives of the government, India’s electronic production has increased to more than Rs 11 lakh crore. During the same period, electronic exports have increased by six times to Rs 3.25 lakh crore and 25 lakh jobs have been created in this entire region.
India emerged as an important electronic center
The minister insisted that Indian products are now getting recognition in the global market due to their credibility and quality. These products are benefiting from intellectual property rights. She also stated that India’s design capacity is now paving the way for the manufacture of complex products such as AI-operated cameras, automotive electronics, telecommunications equipment and power electronics, emerging as an important electronic center.
India’s supply chain will be strong
Vaishnav recently referred to the Electronic Componants Inscents approved by the Cabinet, saying that this will further improve the field of electronic manufacturing and create more opportunities. On Friday, Vaishnav also inaugurated the new SMT line of VVDN Technologies at Global Innovation Park and Mechanical Innovation Park at Manesar. According to the company, it will enable Advance Infrastructure VVDN to produce large and complex products such as AI servers, networking equipment and motherboards, which will reduce imports on imports and strengthen India’s supply chain. Mechanical innovation parks spread over 1,50,000 square feet will be equipped with mold and tool-making setup, wire-cut machines and modern injection molding machines, which will form an integrated ‘mechanical design-to-manufacturing ecosystem’. Vaishnav also interacted with VVDN employees during his visit to Manesar plant.
