Bengaluru, 13 June (IANS). Despite the slow pace of recruitment globally, a strong revival is being seen in India’s formal job market due to increasing demand in various fields. This information was given in a report on Friday.
According to data compiled by Global Job Platform Indid, job posting in India increased by 8.9 percent in May, which is a strong return after a short time stagnation.
This growth highlights the strength and speed of India’s job market, which is about 80 percent above the pre -epidemic level.
Increase in jobs in India is inspired by its change towards a more structured and formal economy.
Indid’s APAC Senior Economist Callum Pickering said, “As the country is changing, the creation of jobs in the formal sector is ahead of overall employment growth. It continuously keeps India ahead of many other global economies.”
The report found that in the last three months, about 80 percent of businesses have increased job posting.
There has been 27 percent increase in childcare, 25 percent in personal care and home health, 24 percent in education, and 22 percent increase in production and manufacturing 22 percent, which reflects increasing demand in social and industrial services.
The software development sector dominates India’s formal hiring space, about one out of every five job posting on the indied takes place in this sector.
Another main attraction of the report was an increase in demand for skilled talents in generative AI.
Till May this year, the 1.5 percent of all job posting in India was mentioned by generative AI, which is more than double the previous year.
Rolls related to generative AI are focused not only in tech and data analytics, but are also emerging in scientific research, marketing and management.
Regional hub generative AIs like Karnataka and Telangana have become a major center for opportunities, while Maharashtra is at the forefront of total jobs.
