The apprehensions that were being raised about the prices of petrol and diesel seems to be coming true. After the elections, the prices of both the fuels have been increasing continuously since March 22. Petrol prices have crossed Rs 100 per liter in all major cities across the country.
CNG price hiked by Rs 6.6 in April
Apart from petrol and diesel, the prices of CNG used in vehicles have also increased by Rs 2.50 per kg on Wednesday. With this increase, the price of one kg of CNG in the capital Delhi has gone up to Rs 66.61. Since April 1, the price of CNG has increased by Rs 6.6 per kg. According to experts, CNG has become costlier by Rs 11 per kg in this year.
ATF so far increased by Rs 38,902 per kiloliter
Aircraft fuel (ATF) prices have also reached record levels amid a rise in crude oil prices. So far this year, ATF prices have been increased by Rs 38,902.91 per kiloliter in seven times. Now its price in the capital Delhi has gone up to Rs 1,12,924.83 per kiloliter.
LPG price hiked by Rs 100
The price of domestic LPG has increased by Rs 100 this year for a 14.2 kg gas cylinder. The last time its price was increased by Rs 50 per cylinder on 22 March. Apart from this, the price of LPG used in commercial establishments like hotels and restaurants was increased by Rs 249.50 on April 1. Now the price of 19 kg cylinder has gone up to Rs 2,253. The price of commercial LPG has increased by Rs 254.5 this year.
Chardham Yatra became expensive due to rising prices of petrol and diesel
Oil marketing companies had once again increased the prices of petrol and diesel by 80 paise on Wednesday. However today there is relief. This is the 14th increase in prices in the last 17 days. In the last 17 days, a total increase of ten rupees per liter or more than 10 percent has been done.
According to the price notification issued by the state-owned oil companies, the price of petrol in Delhi has now gone up to Rs 105.41 per liter, while the price of diesel has gone up to Rs 96.67 per liter. Petrol and diesel prices have been increased across the country, but their prices vary from state to state depending on local taxes.
Petrol prices have crossed Rs 100 per liter in all major cities across the country. Diesel has crossed the Rs 100 per liter mark at many places in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The highest price of petrol in the country is Rs 123.46 per liter in Parbhani in Maharashtra, while diesel is the most expensive in Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh at Rs 107.61 per litre.
