Infosys’ Philanthropist and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Branch, Infosys Foundation announced the introduction of Infosys Springboard Livelihood Program (IPL) on Tuesday, which will provide employment to five lakh job seekers in India by 2030.
The Infosys Foundation has committed more than Rs 200 crore for the first phase of the program. The Foundation said in a statement that Infosys’s major digital learning platform, Infosys springboard, would provide assistance not only for learning and skill development, but will also provide permanent livelihood and career opportunities to learners. Infosys springboard livelihood programs focus on employment creation for both graduates and masters in Stem and non-stem industries. The program will also provide state-of-the-art techniques such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, through Infosys springboard, and industry-relevant courses in tasks such as digital marketing and finance. In addition, he said that the basic modules on the preparation of communication skills, time management and interview will help learners and job seekers to develop necessary workplace efficiency, so they said.
The Infosys Foundation is collaborating with about 20 implementation partners, including ICT Academy, Unnati, Construction, Magic Bus, Aga Khan Rural Assistance Program, St.Me, CII Foundation and NIIT Foundation to select various employment opportunities and can be prepared.
