New Delhi, 4 July (IANS). Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta said in a meeting with experts from IIT Delhi, School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi and Industry Partners on Friday that the future of India’s infrastructure lies in innovation -based, safe and sensitive road scheme.
He discussed the change towards active, innovation-based planning, out of reactive construction.
Central Tamta said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Developed India 2047’ vision, Infrastructure will play a decisive role in making India a developed nation.
He said, “The ministry is not only making roads, but is also preparing corridors that will serve as an engine of industrial development, urban expansion, digital connectivity and civil welfare.”
Union Minister of State Tamta interacted with the faculty and new -intellectuals of IIT Delhi and SPA Delhi and said that innovation not only improves security, but also deal with old problems like land acquisition challenges, urban traffic congestion, poor connectivity and increase in cost in road projects.
The Union Minister stressed the need to adopt indigenous design models instead of cheating from Western countries. Customized solutions are required including integrated security sector, mobility hubs and mixed road corridors due to India’s unique geographical location, climate, behavioral pattern and population density.
The program not only displayed road safety solutions, but also exhibited advanced technology, advance planning framework and low -cost, high -influence designs, which can change the method of concept and construction of roads in India.
Union Minister of State Tamta advocated a governance model in which physical plans are invited before preparing the DPR and evaluated them in a transparent manner to provide a clear route for implementation.
He reiterated that the innovation should be the foundation stone of the future plan strategy of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
