Union Energy Minister Manohar Lal on Saturday urged the people of the industry to work on creating innovative solutions to strengthen the country’s journey towards India. Addressing the ‘Ilekrama-2025’ program organized by the industry body IEEMA in Greater Noida, the minister said that by 2030 India’s 500 GW renewable energy provides various opportunities. The minister said that the power sector is playing an important role towards making the country developed. He said that the stakeholders of the industry should work to make the region the growth engine of India. He told the participants, “The future of electricity in India is good. In this journey we need to increase production in an innovative way.

Advance power electronics, better transformers, power converters, smart grid solutions need to be developed to avail renewable energy. ” The participants included domestic and international representatives and investors. Manohar Lal said that the region contributes significantly to the country’s economy and the government is working to increase its share. He said that industry can work on developing high efficiency transmission, distribution equipment GIS sub station, which will modernize the grid.
EV charging framework demand for time
The Union Minister said that EV charging framework is a demand for time to reduce emissions. The minister said that e-transport is a big opportunity. He said that there is a need to develop battery-changing stations, fast charger, vehicle-to-grid systems. The industry should work on research and development to promote innovative solutions. He assured investors of all possible help and said that the industry should take advantage of government schemes and initiatives. The Union Minister said that if the industry and the government work together, then the target of 500 GW renewable energy capacity can be easily achieved.
