First bullet train delivery will be delivered in 2027
A big and latest update has surfaced about the country’s first bullet train project. Japan is considering providing bullet train for free for testing and trial for Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. For testing bullet train in India, Japan can give Shinkansen’s E5 and E3 models, which come with many types of world class safety features.
Shinkansen’s E10 may be the country’s first bullet train
India had planned to run E5 trains for its first bullet train route, which has a top speed of 320 km per hour. But it has been delayed and the cost has also increased significantly. On the other hand, E3 is an old model. Apart from this, India is also showing interest in the E10 model.
India and Japan can do trial in early 2026
According to a report by Japan Times, Japan will give India a train set of E5 and E3 series to India in early 2026. After which testing equipment will be installed in them. These testing trains will collect data on high temperature and dust effects as well as driving conditions to help in the possible production of E10 trains in India in future.
First bullet train delivery will be delivered in 2027
According to the report, the Government of India can choose Shinkansen’s E10 train for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Train Route. Which can be delivered in 2027, when the country’s first bullet train route is planned to be partially opened.
80% of the total cost of the project on loan
Let us tell you that Japan International Cooperation Agency is funding for the bullet train project in India. This agency will give 80 percent of the amount spent in this entire project. The Government of India will pay this loan to the Japan International Cooperation Agency at an interest rate of 0.01 percent in 50 years.
