Jio platforms have created an open telecom AI platform with technology companies AMD, Cisco and Nokia. This is expected to reduce technology costs as well as increase network safety and efficiency. A joint statement on Tuesday stated that multi-domain intelligence framework will integrate AI and automation in every layer of network operations. Reliance Jio Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Matthew Omen said in a statement, “The Jio Open Telecom AI platform in collaboration with AMD, Cisco and Nokia is advancing the Jio Open Telecom AI platform, so that the network can be converted into self-educated, customer-individual ecosystem.
Open application interface will be used
He said, “This initiative is about to enable AI-manufacturing, autonomous network ahead of automation, which adapt in real time, increase the experience and create new service and revenue opportunities in digital ecosystems.” The statement stated that the AI platform would be independent of a large language model (AI search engine) and will use an open application interface to customize its functionality and abilities.
Live will live the first customer
Nokia President and CEO Pecca Lundmark said the company has reliable technology leadership in many domains including RAN, Core, Fixed Broadband, IP and Optical Transport. The new open telecom AI platform employed by Jio platforms, AMD, Cisco and Nokia will be created by making Jio the first customer, making an exemplary reference architecture and deployable solution for the comprehensive global service provider industry.
