Job
NITI Aayog member Dr. Arvind Virmani has said that jobs are increasing in the country, but in 7 years, salary has not increased according to inflation. He also said that jobs and skills are two sides of the same coin, if you have skills, then it becomes easy to get a job. According to Virmani, we have opportunities in terms of global population, need to take advantage of it and improve the quality of teaching and training. He said, according to PLFS (periodic labor force survey) data, the workers’ public ratio is clearly increasing in the last seven years. This means that the number of jobs is increasing more than population growth. It also has ups and downs, but the attitude that shows that the jobs are increasing.
Salary increases as skill increases
According to a member of the NITI Aayog, it is important because the skill increases when the productivity increases, and the actual salary increases. It also happens in India and also in the world. We think that the work we are doing, keep doing there and the salary will increase, it is not right. Hence skilling (skill development) is very important. And those who are doing the work, not only for them but the new people who are coming, also need skill development. Virmani said, according to the analysis we have done, skill development is needed at every level of education. Many children leave studies in the middle, they need to develop skills accordingly. It is not that everyone needs skills to become AI (artificial intelligence) or electronic engineer. We also have to think about children who leave their studies in the middle.
Education systems and skills have to be improved
According to Virmani, the main problem is quality education and lack of skills. Every level, skills will have to be improved at lower, medium and high levels. We need skills for all kinds of jobs. He said, “Jobs and skills are two sides of the same coin. If you have skills, then it becomes easy to get a job. This needs to be understood. ”In response to another question, Virmani said,” There is a need for improvement everywhere for developed India. ” We should see and use opportunities. There is a need to take advantage of the opportunities we have at the level of global demographic (global population). For this, it is important to improve the quality of teaching and training with education. There is a need to pay attention here, so that we reach the high income level. Similarly, there is a supply chain on which work needs to be done.
