The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has planned to introduce various measures and incentive programs with the aim of promoting the welfare development of the girl child and making their future bright. The government has launched ‘Kanya Sumangala Yojana’ to promote the birth of daughters in the state. Under this, an amount of 15 thousand rupees will be given for a maximum of six times from the birth of the daughter to the school and till she reaches the 12th standard. To take advantage of this scheme, first of all the girl child has to be registered. For this, you have to apply online by visiting the official website mksy.up.gov.in. For this, the government has also kept a budget of Rs 1,200 crore in the current financial year.
How to get benefit?
Under the ‘Kanya Sumangala Yojana’ being run by the government, an amount of Rs 15,000 will be contributed in total 6 phases from the birth of the girl child in the school till she reaches the intermediate level in the school. If the daughter is born on 1st April 2019 or any date after that, then the first installment of this scheme will be given by the government as Rs.2000. After this, the girls whose vaccination is completed within 1 year, will be given the second installment of this scheme in the form of Rs.2000. Provided that he was born not earlier than 1st April 2018. After this, those girl students who have taken admission in the first class in the current academic session will be given the third installment of this scheme, Rs 2000 and the girls who have taken admission in the sixth class will be given the fourth installment 2000.
At the same time, the fifth installment will be given as a lump sum amount of 3000 to the girl students taking admission in class IX in the current session. After this, the sixth installment of this scheme will be given as a lump sum amount of 5000 to the girl students who have passed 12th and taken admission in graduation. It is worth mentioning that, the beneficiaries of Kanya Sumangala Yojana can be only those people, whose annual income is maximum 3 lakh rupees. Only two daughters of this family will be given the benefit of this scheme.
