To lock the biometric details of your Aadhaar, first you have to log in to the official website of UIDAI and generate a virtual ID from the ‘VID generator’ option.

Uidai Myadhaar for biometric lock on portal https://resident.uidai.gov.in/bio-lock Go to Now click on the option of ‘Lock/Unlock Aadhaar’ below. In the first step, click on ‘Click Here to Generate Vid’ and generate virtual ID. After the virtual ID is generated, return to the same page again. Now click on ‘Next’ option. Here choose the lock Aadhaar and enter the details sought. Now verify OTP by clicking on Send OTP. After verification your base will be biometric lock.

Go to Google Play Store or Apple App Store and download the Maadhaar app. Now log in from the mobile number registered on the app. After this, click on the ‘My Aadhaar’ icon. Enter your Aadhaar number, captcha code and complete OTP verification. Click on the ‘Biometric Lock’ option to lock your base biometrics. This will lock your Aadhaar.
