Rewa, October 23 (IANS). In continuation of the ongoing efforts for industrial development in Madhya Pradesh, the fifth Regional Industry Conclave was organized in Rewa on Wednesday. In this, investors have given investment proposals of about Rs 31 thousand crores.
Nearly four thousand participants from across the country had registered in the Vibrant Vindhya Regional Industry Conclave of Rewa. Investors from various sectors gave investment proposals worth Rs 30,814 crore, which will provide employment to 27,645 people.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that the regional industry conclave being organized in series is a sacrifice for the development of the state. With the help of the industrialists and investors participating in this, we will carve the state like a diamond by making better use of the available resources. In view of the immense potential for development in all areas in Madhya Pradesh, it is our commitment and declared resolution to provide employment to every person along with the establishment of new industries.
He said that the pace of work of our government is such that in one meeting an industrialist is met and in the next meeting the foundation stone of the unit is laid. To encourage industries in Rewa division and increase exports, inland container depots will be constructed in Katni and Singrauli. Multi model logistics park will also be developed here. New industrial area for MSME will be developed in Mauganj and Maihar. A new scheme will be implemented at a cost of Rs 84 lakh for water supply in Baidhan industrial area.
He said that international level tourism facilities will be developed in Sanjay-Dubri National Park and Tiger Reserve. Innovations will also be made to develop health tourism. Activities in the fields of medicine and education will be expanded. This will create employment opportunities and this area will also become self-reliant in treatment and education. Separate provision will be made for investment in better hotels, resorts and other tourism projects in the Vindhya region.
The Chief Minister performed virtual bhumi-pujan of the IT park to be built in Rewa at a cost of Rs 66 crore 71 lakh. Similarly, for the promotion of small and medium industries, virtual bhoomi pujan was also done for the new industrial area to be developed at a cost of Rs 29 crore in Patera district Mau and Naya Gaon and Churhat Electric Sub-Station to be built near Rewa.
