Bhubaneswar, December 21 (IANS). Odisha is going to host top celebrity investors from Bollywood and Indian cricket in the upcoming ‘Utkarsh Odisha: The Make in Odisha Conclave 2025’ to boost its startup ecosystem. The event, to be held on January 28 and 29 next year, will feature a high-profile plenary session organized by Startup Odisha.
Kamaljit Das, CEO of Startup Odisha, told IANS about the new policy, “The 28th will be important for celebrity startups. There will be two approaches to celebrity startups. Celebrities who are investing in startups and becoming successful are the ones from the state. Apart from this, we will also invite successful startups so that they can encourage others with their success stories.
He said that an email request has been sent to many celebrities, which include names like Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sunil Shetty. Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Sunil Shetty are also expected to attend this session.
Regarding the Odisha conclave, Panda said, “Discussions are underway with high-profile investors, and their participation is expected to prove to be a game-changer for Odisha’s startup ecosystem.”
Apart from celebrity investors, some of the country’s most successful startups will also participate, providing industry insight and networking opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs from the state.
The conclave aims to establish Odisha as a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship, thereby promoting investment and collaboration to foster the next generation of startups.
Kamaljit Das said that detailed information about the agenda and participants of the program is awaited. He informed that there is also a plan to release the revised Odisha Startup Policy during the program.
