The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has announced to waive house tax for Delhiites. Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh gave this information during a press conference on Monday. Under this initiative, the residents who will submit their house tax by 2024-25, all of them will be forgiven and forgiven. This announcement was made jointly by Singh, Mayor of MCD Mahesh Chhunchi, Deputy Mayor Ravinder Bhardwaj and House leader Mukesh Goyal.
Relief given like this
Owners of property owners between 100 and 500 square yards will get 50% tax discount. The owners of a house with assets less than 100 square yards will get a complete discount from house tax. Commercial properties in rehabilitation areas will also get the benefit of tax exemption. Residents of 1,300 residential apartments, who were previously excluded from concessions, will now get 25% tax discounts.
Large relief to those less than 100 square yards
The scheme includes special benefits for different size assets. Property less than 100 square yard will be completely exempted from tax, while assets between 100 to 500 square yards will get 50 percent tax exemption. This initiative extends to commercial properties in rehabilitation areas, which will get tax exemption. Additionally, residents of 1,300 residential apartments will now get 25 percent tax deduction, a profit that they had not received earlier. Mayor Mahesh Khinchi said that on the 25th, the upcoming MCD House will officially implement this decision.
