New Delhi, February 23 (IANS). Legendary technology company Meta is expanding its operations in India and in this episode may start recruitment to posts like Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Product Specialist.
Meta, a parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has announced to open a new office in Bengaluru.
Meta has recruited an engineering director on its website that will be responsible for creating a strong technical team in Bengaluru.
This role will play an important role in shaping Meta’s long -term engineering appearance in India.
Many meta employees on LinkedIn shared that the Bengaluru Center is being established by the company’s enterprise engineering team.
This team focuses on creating internal equipment to increase productivity within the meta.
The company is also recruiting the posts of Hardware Engineers to support its growing AI infrastructure including data center operations and custom chip development.
Meta entered the Indian market in 2010. The company has offices in Gurugram, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Currently, most of the Meta work in the country is engaged in works like sales, marketing, business development, operations, policy, legal and finance.
At the same time, the new office of Bengaluru will have engineering teams of the company.
According to a Meta spokesperson, the company is planning to recruit professional engineers in a small number of Bangalore.
India is the largest market for meta, where more than one billion people use company products including Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
India has often been a testing site for new Meta features and equipment. Instagram Rels was widely launched in India for the first time after tickets were banned in 2020.
Last week, Google also inaugurated a large campus ‘Anant’ in Bengaluru.
