Meta memo leaked, preparations for three employees trimmed

मेटा का मेमो हुआ लीक, हजारों कर्मचारियों की छंटनी करने की चल रही तैयारी

New Delhi, 9 February (IANS). Legendary technology company Meta can lay off around 3,000 employees, which is 5 percent of the total number of employees. This information was given in the leaked internal memo on Sunday.

According to reports, this was posted on the internal workplace forum of the Memo Company by Jaynel Gayle, HR Vice President of Mata.

It was written in the memo that the affected employees will be informed about this job status through email on Monday.

However, the process of trimming some international employees will start from Sunday itself. At the same time, employees in America will be told at 6:30 pm on Monday as per Indian time.

Within an hour of receiving the email, they will lose access to the company’s system. Information will also be given about the package of separation from the company in the email.

Jaynel Gayle accepted the difficulty of the situation, especially for teams who have lost their manager or colleague.

He further informed that the Meta’s offices will remain open, but employees who like to do remote work on Monday can do so.

The meta follows the hybrid work model, under which employees have to come to the office three days a week.

The company has not disclosed the names of the employees being taken out.

Some of these roles can be filled again in the future, but no deadline is fixed.

He further said, the employees whose manager will be removed will be appointed as the new reporting heads.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had earlier indicated a job cut, stating that the company was increasing the performance standards.

Meta usually removes less performances in a year, but this time the trimming is being done on a very large scale based on the recent performance reviews.

Earlier, Amazon had trimmed about 1,000 employees and salesforce.

Companies in the technology sector are cutting jobs to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
