New Delhi, 1 July (IANS). The central government said on Tuesday that the Ministry of Coal is set to launch the exploration module on the single window clearance system web portal towards achieving the end-to-end digitization of the coal exploration value chain.
The module, launched by Union Minister of Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy through Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) on July 4 will get the facility to submit their exploration proposal online, which will then be processed and approved by the Ministry through the Integrated System.
This module covers the entire process of coal discovery, including the acceptance of the geological report, in which the exploration scheme, submitting progress updates from time to time, submission and approval with all communication of the comments will be in all single digital interfaces.
According to a statement from the Ministry, it ensures transparency in processing and approval of exploration data while maintaining structured timelines for each stage.
The official statement said, “With real -time tracking, with automated digital document management and integrated dashboard, this module is ready to significantly reduce the time required for processing the exploration proposal.”
Developed in collaboration with CMPDIL, the module adopts the best practices in e-governance and technical verification. This will enable the Monitoring of the Coal Resource Assessment and improving the coal block allocation of the ministry.
Thus the introduction of exploration module will be a transformative step in increasing productivity, data transparency and approval speed in the coal sector of India, which will contribute to the nation’s energy security and sustainable development goals.
In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s developed India and digitally strong ecosystem approach, the Ministry of Coal continues its digital change journey by expanding the capabilities of the single window clearance system (SWCS).
SWCS, launched on January 11, 2021, is a leading initiative, aimed at providing an integrated digital platform to obtain all necessary approval and approval to increase coal production of coal mines across the country.
