New Delhi, 9 June (IANS). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been leading one of the most transformative times in India for the last 11 years and due to his efforts, today the country is making new history in every field from economy to technology and from society to inclusive development.
The Union Minister said that where the country was lagging behind in every way 11 years ago, India is touching the heights of development during the Modi government and no section of the society is left untouched by the far -reaching changes in the policies of his government.
He said, “This period has proved to be a symbol of good governance through service in the direction of poor, youth, farmers and women empowerment. Everyone with everyone, development, everyone’s faith, everyone’s effort, this is not just a mantra but the strength of new India.”
On emerging as the fastest growing economy in the world, the Union Minister said that India is constantly moving forward on the path of developing the world with rapid development, comprehensive change and public participation under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The IMF said in its World Economic Outlook report last month that India is moving towards becoming the fourth largest economy in the world in 2025. During this period, the country’s GDP will increase to $ 4,187.017 billion. At the same time, Japan’s GDP is estimated to be $ 4,186.431 billion.
According to the report, India remains the world’s fastest growing major economy and is the only country to register more than 6 percent in the next two years.
India’s GDP will be $ 5,584.476 billion in 2028, and the country will become the third largest economy in 2028, leaving behind Germany.
