More than 2 crore people employed in 96 lakh MSME units in Uttar Pradesh: CM Yogi

Lucknow, 27 June (IANS). On the occasion of ‘World MSME Day’, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched several important initiatives to encourage entrepreneurship at a grand ceremony held at Lok Bhavan. During this, he inaugurated the Youth Adda, inaugurated the CM Youth Mobile App and inaugurated ODOP CFC projects worth Rs 18 crore in Bareilly-Moradabad.

CM Yogi in his address expressed the government’s commitment to provide equal opportunities to the youth of all communities by ending caste discrimination.

He said that the previous governments did not have time to have a caste struggle, due to which the youth of the state had created an identity crisis. The previous governments not only ignored entrepreneurs, but also worked to promote ethnic conflicts. Before 2017, UP was known as the most vulnerable region for daughter and businessman, as a mafia gang, as a mafia gang. The achievement of previous governments has been to give ‘one district, a mafia’ in the name of familyism by creating ethnic struggle. Due to this, a crisis of identity had arisen in front of the public.

He said that UP organized its foundation day for the first time on 24 January 2018. After the establishment of UP in 1950, the State Foundation Day was never organized from 2018, because the previous governments did not have time to create caste struggle and create an identity crisis on the basis of this. They were all working for their family, they had no meaning with the state.

Chief Minister Yogi inaugurated the ‘Youth Adda’, which has been launched by Eupicon to promote innovation and entrepreneurship. This platform will provide the youth of all castes and communities to share their commercial views, receive loan assistance from banks and seek guidance from experienced mentors.

CM Yogi said that our government does not discriminate on the basis of caste, region or language. We are committed to give a platform to the talent of every youth.

With the launch of the CM Youth Mobile App, the government launched a digital platform to connect the youth with entrepreneurship. The Chief Minister said that this app will provide information about training, loan and government schemes to the youth of all communities without any caste discrimination. This app will ensure that no young government offices are forced to go round.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the Common Facilitation Center (CFC) projects at Bareilly and Moradabad under the ‘One District, One Product’ (ODOP) scheme at a cost of Rs 18 crore.

CM Yogi said that today the uniqueness of every district is getting a global platform through ODOP. The scheme has provided equal opportunities to artisans and entrepreneurs of all castes, making products like Moradabad’s Bras, Bhadohi’s carpet and Lucknow’s Chikankari in the international market.

He informed that more than 2 crore people are employed in 96 lakh MSME units in Uttar Pradesh, including people from all castes and communities. Our government has provided security shield and social security of five lakh rupees to these units without discrimination. UP is a leader with a 14 percent stake in MSME in the country.

Highlighting the economic progress of UP in eight years, the Chief Minister said that in 2017, the export of the state was only 80 thousand crore rupees, which has exceeded 2 lakh crore rupees today. The per capita income has increased from 46 thousand rupees to 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees and GDP from 12 lakh 75 thousand crore to 31 lakh crore rupees. This progress has been possible due to better law and order and equal opportunity to all communities.

He informed that under the Chief Minister’s Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign, 55 thousand youth have been provided interest-free loans of Rs 5 lakh and 10 percent government grant. We selected these youth on the basis of their talent, not on the basis of their caste or region. The scheme has given the youth of all communities an opportunity to move forward in the field of entrepreneurship. Under the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, more than 1 lakh traditional artisans have been provided toolkit and cheap loans. These artisans are from different castes and communities, which were previously neglected. We have given respect and opportunity to the artisans of every village and town, so that they can take their art to new heights.
