New Delhi. After Amul, Mother Dairy has also increased the price of milk by Rs 2 per liter. The increased price has come into effect from today. Earlier, Amul had announced to increase the price of milk by Rs 2. After Amul and Mother Dairy, Parag may also increase the price of its milk in UP soon. The price of Mother Dairy’s full cream milk has now become Rs 68 per liter after an increase of Rs 2 per kg. Toned milk will now be available for Rs 56 per liter instead of Rs 54. Cow milk which was earlier available for Rs 56 per liter will now be available for Rs 58 per liter. Token milk which was available at Mother Dairy booths in Delhi-NCR for Rs 52 per liter till yesterday, will be available for Rs 54 from today.
Giving the reason for the increase in milk prices, Mother Dairy has said that now more money has to be paid for the purchase of raw milk than before. Despite paying more money to buy raw milk in the last few months, we did not increase the prices. Apart from this, milk production is likely to decrease due to heat across the country. Due to this, the price of milk has been increased. Earlier, the price of milk was increased in February 2023. If we talk about the past years, in June 2021, full cream milk was available for Rs 56 per liter, which has become Rs 68 per liter today. Thus, if seen, in three years, companies have increased the price of milk by Rs 12. Amul is the leading dairy product company in the country, on the basis of whose pricing other companies decide the price.
