Best performing employees can get 1.7 times more increment
Indian companies are focusing on improving global and local challenges, as well as improving compensation cost budgets, so the average salary increment of employees is expected to be 8.8 percent in 2025. The report also states that 75 percent of the companies will either reduce salary increments or remain the same as last year.
Consumer products sector employees can get disappointment
Deloite India report has also revealed that while most sector salary will keep the increment stable or low compared to last year, the consumer products are expected to have a significant decrease in the salary increment budget in the sector. In an environment where the revenue of companies is slow, the compensation budget is naturally coming under pressure.

Deloite India Talent Outlook 2025 Report 7 is based on a survey among officials of more than 500 companies in different sectors. The report states that companies may give 1.7 times more increment than the average performance employees to maintain the best performing employees. It states that individual contributors and junior management level employees can get 1.3 times more increase than the top management level.
80 percent companies will increase recruitment
According to the survey, this year about 12 percent of their companies can promote their companies, which is almost equal to last year. In 2024, the trimming has come down by 17.4 percent, however, it should be taken care that different sectors and size companies are still quite optimistic about hiring and about 80 percent of companies are planning to increase the number of employees in the coming financial year.
