32 flights will fly every week for 7 destination
Regional airline company Star Air said on Sunday that it will start direct flight service from Kolhapur to Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Nagpur from May 15. Star Air currently operates 16 flights (direct and connecting) a week from Kolhapur to three places- Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Tirupati. With this expansion, the number of connecting destinations of the airline to Kolhapur will increase to 7, which will also increase the weekly frequency of the airline company to 28. Star Air said that from May 15, they will convert Embrears ERJ-145 plane with 50-seat Embrears on their current Mumbai-Kolhapur-Mumbai and Kolhapur-Ahmedabad-Kolhapur route with ERJ-175 aircraft of 76-seat of ‘Business’ class.

According to a statement, the new flight service from Kolhapur starts with the Summer schedule network expansion plan of the airline of Sanjay Ghodawat Group with Kolhapur headquarters. The airline said that from June 3, it will operate 7 Destination from Kolhapur to 7 Destination- Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Tirupati, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur and Kishangarh. Star Air CEO Captain Simran Singh Tiwana said, “Our expansion to Kolhapur is a strategic initiative to connect more regional centers. With our growing fleet, Star Air is ready to fulfill the lack of contact in India’s heart.”
