According to the complaint lodged with the police, this scam in the bank has been done between 2020 and 2025. At the same time, the police suspect that apart from Hitesh, other people are also involved in this scam. At present, the police have transferred the investigation to the Economic Offex Wing (EOW) due to the seriousness of the case. Let us tell you that due to financial irregularities, the Reserve Bank has banned New India Co-operative Bank for 6 months on transactions. On the other hand, a large number of account holders are still gathered outside the bank branches. People want to withdraw their money deposited in the bank, but due to the ban of the Reserve Bank, this is not possible at the moment.
At the same time, one information has also come out that out of 1.3 lakh account holders of this bank, there are more than 90 percent account holders whose accounts are deposited up to five lakh rupees. In such a situation, these account holders will get their entire deposit through insurance. It is worth noting that the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC) insures the account holders up to Rs 5 lakh. If the bank sinks, the holders will get back up to 5 lakhs.
