Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark Sensex fell 720.60 points to close at 79,223.11 and National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty slipped 183.9 points to close at 24,004.75. Bank Nifty also got a big blow and it closed at the level of 50,988.80, falling 616.75 points. In today’s trading session, Wipro, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Tech Mahindra and Adani Ports emerged as major losers on Nifty, while ONGC, Tata Motors, SBI Life Insurance, Titan Company and HUL were among the gainers.
Earlier on Thursday, the domestic stock market had made a strong comeback. Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark Sensex jumped 1,436.30 points to close at 79,943.71 and National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty closed 445.75 points higher at 24,188.65.

According to the news, if we talk about sectoral index, today there was a decline of 1-1 percent in Bank, Capital Goods, IT, Pharma, while there was a rise of 1-1 percent in Oil and Gas, Media. Besides, the BSE Midcap index witnessed a decline of 0.33 per cent, while the Smallcap index remained unchanged.

Crude oil price in futures trading
Crude oil prices fell by Rs 8 to Rs 6,291 per barrel in futures trade on Friday as participants cut their deals due to low demand. Crude oil for February delivery fell by Rs 8, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 6,291 per barrel on the Multi Commodity Exchange with a turnover of 651 lots.
