New Delhi, 27 April (IANS). The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with eight institutions to carry forward the Digital India Mission.
These eight institutions include Semi-conductor laboratory (SCL), ERNET India, National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Skyut Aerospace, Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR) and Kindrail India.
According to information given by the Union Ministry of Electronics and IT on Sunday, these partnerships have been designed to enhance education, skill, research and innovation in the fields of electronics and IT.
S Krishnan, Secretary, Union Ministry of Electronics and IT, said, “This is a strategic mixture of education, industry and government institutions to promote a strong digital ecosystem and develop a workforce for the future.”
In this program, Economic Advisor of Ministry of Electronics and IT, Preeti Nath, Scientist and Group Coordinator, Tulika Pandey, SCL Director General, Dr. Kamaljit Singh, Director General of ERATE India Sanjeev Bansal, Kindrail India Director CSR and ESG, Girija Mukund, Amrita Mukund, Amrita Vishwa Vidya Din and Director, Dr. Krishnashri Achutan, Dr. Krishnashri Achutan, Dr. Krishnashri Achutan, Skair Aurosphere Achutan CVS Kiran, Director General of NISE, Mohammad Rihan, and Director of the Hartfulness Institute, Dr. Narsi Reddy attended.
NIELIT is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Electronics and IT, which works to promote education, training and research in electronics, IT and emerging technology.
The official statement stated that NIELIT plays an important role in developing a skilled workforce for the NIELIT digital economy, with its 56 centers, more than 700 recognized training partners and over 9,000 facility centers across the country.
It is also recognized as a national examination body to recognize institutions and organizations conducting non-formal sector courses in IT and electronics.
