Global Information Technology (IT) company Accenture will promote about 15,000 Indian employees in June this year. The company’s move is part of the campaign to promote 50,000 employees worldwide. Ajay Vij, Senior Managing Director of Extense India, wrote in an internal letter sent to employees that the Accenture would promote around 50,000 people worldwide in June, including about 15,000 people from India. Overall, more than 43,000 people in India will get promotion in FY 2024-25. Accenture follows the financial year of September to August.
There was an increase in salary in December
In December, Accenture had increased salary for some employees. Between June and December, the ‘basic salary’ of most Indian employees will increase. Vij said that bonus and performance for eligible people will continue to be made under the Equity decisions, and we will continue to evaluate the opportunity to increase the original salary at that time. Promotion and basic increment will be reported internal to employees between 26-29 May. The company with Ireland headquarters shifted its promotion cycle permanently in September, 2024, citing better visibility of customer expenses and demand in permanent December to June.
Promotion will be done in the month of June
Announcing the data, Chief Executive Officer of Extense Julie Sweet said that we have now shifted that promotion cycle permanently. Therefore, we will promote a large scale in June, while a small -scale promotion will take place in December. So that when our customers are determining their budget, it can be better matched and we get better visibility, and this is what we are seeing again. Accenture is one of the largest company in the Indian IT service sector, which has more than 3,00,000 employees. The company has a total of 7,74,000 employees worldwide. Accenture had an income of $ 64.90 billion in FY 2023-24.
