Zomato CEO: Deepinder Goyal, CEO of online food delivery company Zomato, worked as a delivery partner agent for a day. During this, he said on Sunday that the mall needs to be ‘more humane towards the delivery partner’. He shared his experience as a delivery partner taking orders for Zomato. Goyal has shared his experience of becoming a delivery boy by posting a video. Sharing his experience on a social media post, Goyal said, “During my second order, I realized that we need to work together with malls to improve the working conditions for all delivery partners. …and malls also need to be more humane towards delivery partners. What do you think?”
Entry not given from main entrance
In the video, the Zomato CEO is seen walking to the entry gate of the mall dressed as a delivery boy. In his video, Goyal explains, “We reached Ambience Mall in Gurugram to take the order from Haldiram. We were asked to go through another entry gate, but later found out that they were asking me to go through the stairs. “We went inside through the main gate again to make sure there was no lift for the delivery person.” Goyal said he went up the stairs to the third floor to find that delivery partners could not enter the mall and had to wait on the stairs to receive orders. “Had fun with my fellow delivery partners and got feedback from them,” said the Zomato CEO. He said he was finally able to get inside to collect the order when the stairwell security personnel moved away. He also posted a video sharing his experience.
