Maruti Suzuki India has announced to offer a special ‘Cover’ to customers in case of hydrostatic lock (water entering the engine) and engine failure or stalling due to adulterated fuel.
As part of its endeavor to further strengthen its after-sales service with the customers, the largest car company in the domestic market has introduced the Customer Convenience Package (CCP). Under this package, the damage caused by water entering the engine of the vehicles or due to wrong or adulterated fuel will be covered.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Director, Maruti Suzuki said that the incidents of engine shutdown or failure due to heavy water logging on the roads and adulterated fuel have seen an increase during the last few years. Banerjee said, “In such a situation, customers need not panic now. Customers should definitely try to protect their vehicle from waterlogged roads.
If something goes wrong with the engine, we will take care of it.” He said that customers will have to pay a nominal amount to take advantage of this package. For Wagon R and Alto customers, this amount will be around Rs 500.
