Mumbai, June 29 (IANS) NTPC Limited, a non-owned subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Limited announced on Sunday that it had completely commissioned the 220 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-II) in Madhya Pradesh.
The company announced the completion of the final phase (120 MW capacity) through exchange filing. In addition, the entire unit-II of the solar park is now commercially operational.
The company said in the exchange filing, “We want to inform you that as a result of successful commissioning, NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited’s 220 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-II) of 120 M Operations have been started. ”
This milestone is after the first commissioning of Unit I, which had a capacity of 105 MW and was completed in March this year.
With both units being active now, Shajapur Solar Park of NTPC Renewable Energy has a total capacity of 325 MW.
The work of Shajapur Solar Project Unit I and Unit II has been completed, while Unit III with a planned capacity of 125 MW is yet to begin.
NTPC Renewable Energy shares are likely to be in the discussion after the commissioning update on Monday.
On Friday, the company’s stock closed at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at Rs 0.76 or 0.71 per cent to close at Rs 105.99.
In the last one month, the stock has fallen by Rs 6.84 or 6.06 percent. The 52 -week high of the stock is Rs 155.35.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, the Government Renewable Energy Company announced that its 3,300 MW flood Super Thermal Power Project in Bihar would be completely commercially operational from 1 July.
