Until the new CEO is appointed, the company’s founder Bhavish Aggarwal will take over as CEO. Before joining Ola as CEO, Hemant Bakshi was associated with Unilever. However, till now neither Hemant himself nor the company has issued any statement regarding the reason for his resignation.
CEO Hemant Bakshi has left the company at a time when the company is going to work on a re-structuring process. Last year too, Ola had laid off around 200 people from Ola Cabs, Ola Electric and Ola Financial Services in the name of re-structuring process. It is worth noting that Ola Cabs is also planning to launch its IPO. For this, talks are going on with investor banks. According to the information, the company is evaluating the launch of IPO and many new people have also been appointed in a month.
Ola Cabs has recently shut down its services in many countries such as the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
