Amid the huge tension between India and Pakistan, State Bank of India (SBI), Punjab National Bank (PNB) and many other banks said on Friday that their ATMs are working perfectly, they have enough stocks and digital service are running smoothly. According to PTI news, this announcement has been made on social media in the backdrop of such reports that ATMs are likely to be closed in the coming days amidst increasing tension between India and Pakistan. He also said that all his digital services continue normally.
Do not rely on uncomfortable information
According to the news, India’s largest bank, State Bank of India said in a post on social media posts ‘X’ that all our ATMs, CDMs/ADWMs and digital services are completely operational and are available for public use. India’s largest bank also advised its customers not to rely on unmatched information. Similar messages have also been posted by Bank of Baroda, Punjab and Sindh Bank, Canara Bank and Bank of India.
PNB also posted
Punjab National Bank said in a post on social media platform ‘X’ that all our digital services are also running smoothly, which ensure easy banking experience sitting at your home. Meanwhile, the Ministry said that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will hold a review meeting on cyber security preparations of banks and financial institutions in the evening.
Rules have changed to withdraw cash from ATM
Withdrawing money from ATMs for bank customers has become expensive. Now banks can charge a fee of Rs 23 per cash from customers at the end of free withdrawal limit in the month. Earlier, banks were allowed to charge up to Rs 21 on transactions more than the free withdrawal limit. Instructions have been implemented by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) related to the fees imposed on more withdrawal than the prescribed limit from the ATM.
