New Delhi, 4 May (IANS). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal visited the International Center for Sustainability for a trade agreement between India-UK and appreciated India’s efforts to promote Sustainability Initiatives.
On the social media platform X, Goyal expressed his praise after meeting the founder of the center Sachin Nanda.
The Union Minister expressed happiness and joy about the works of the center to increase global understanding about India’s environmental efforts and strengthen cooperation between India and Britain.
Goyal wrote on X, “It was very happy to hear the founder trustee Sachin Nanda about the work being done by the center to increase understanding of India’s sustainability initiatives and strengthen India-Britain relations.”
The travel is part of the minister’s comprehensive activities in the UK, where he is meeting the parties of various fields to strengthen economic and diplomatic relations.
Earlier, Goyal met representatives of Indian organizations in the UK and appreciated his contribution to cultural and economic cooperation.
Goyal said, “He met representatives of various Indian organizations located in the UK. Highlight the increasing strength of the Indo-UK partnership, in which the two countries are actively working to deepen cooperation in various fields.”
The Union Minister wrote on X that various Indian organizations located in the UK are playing an important role in strengthening cultural, political and economic relations between the two countries.
He also interacted with the India Global Forum and appreciated its role in promoting the Indo-UK partnership and encouraged its continuous efforts.
The minister’s visit is at such an important time when India and the UK are advancing the discussion on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
Recently, Minister Goyal met the UK Business and Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds to carry forward the conversation. Both sides have reiterated their commitment to finalize the deal, expecting to promote trade, investment and innovation.
