Bengaluru, 5 July (IANS). Union Minister Piyush Goyal, while addressing the IIT Madras alumni meat ‘Sangam’ held on Saturday in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, spoke in detail about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dreams and five vowes of ‘developed India’.
Piyush Goyal said that the country is now in a decisive phase, where we are laying the foundation of future India. He reminded that when the Modi government came to power in 2014, India was counted among the world’s weakest economies. But in the last 10 years, the country worked on a lot of missions, in which programs like ‘Swachh Bharat’, ‘Startup India’ reached the common man and brought ground changes. Piyush Goyal said that today India has had the fourth largest economy in the world and if this speed persists, we can become the third largest economy by 2027.
He said, “Whatever policies are being made today, they are being made keeping in mind the future India to come.” Regarding technology, he said that India is no longer afraid of new technologies, but is confident of adopting them and moving forward. He said that this confidence makes us worthy of competing with the best countries of the world. During the Kovid epidemic, India sent vaccines to more than 100 countries.
He said that the world thanked India for this, but it is a matter of regret that some people, especially the leaders of some states, could not understand it properly. Referring to the recent budget, he said that the government has allocated one lakh crore rupees for the innovative industry, so that ‘Youth India’ gets new opportunities and research will be promoted.
Piyush Goyal also recalled the contribution of former Prime Ministers. He said that Lal Bahadur Shastri gave the slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan”, Atal Bihari Vajpayee added “Jai Vigyan” to it, and now Prime Minister Modi has added the fourth dimension “Jai Research” (Research) to it. Now India is becoming a country where talent is not going out, but is getting attracted from outside to India.
