New Delhi, 4 June (IANS). A post was shared by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on the social media platform X on Wednesday for the changes in the country’s energy and renewable energy sector.
The PMO said that in the last few years, India’s energy sector had many major structural changes, which have made strong efforts for affordable and clean energy by focusing on reforms, green initiatives and self -reliance.
The PMO reposts the post of Union New and Renewable Energy Minister Prahlad Joshi and wrote, “Union Minister Prahlad Joshi has given information about 11 major transformational reforms in the renewable energy sector in the last 11 years, read it.”
Union Minister Prahlad Joshi wrote in his post on the social media platform X, “I have highlighted through an article how India has become a leader in the renewable energy sector under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
He added, “India has a record 29 GW Renewable Energy Pair in only one year (2024-2025). The achievement is a major jump in renewable infrastructure, which strengthens the country’s domestic industries. Also establishes India as a global leader in clean energy transition.”
In the second post made by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on the energy sector, information was given about the article of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri highlighted the 11 -year journey of the country’s becoming ‘developed India’ with his official X handle.
Union Minister Puri wrote, “India is now the third largest energy and oil consumer, which more than 6 crore consumers come to the filling station. The country is the fourth largest refiner and the fourth largest LNG importer worldwide.”
Union Minister Puri said that by 2047, energy demand is expected to increase by two and a half times. With this, 25 percent of the increased global demand is expected to be from India, so the roadmap is clear.
